Question: When tool inventory is done by flt. line mechanic,there is one missing.Everyone searches for tool,tool not found,Mechanic puts red X in forms,Aircraft Grounded. Then the N.D.I people asked movers pull A/C in building and X ray Air Craft,the tool is located and removed.Question how does this work?
Answer: You just described exactly how it's done. The missing tool shows up on the X-Ray and now that you know where it is, you just retrieve it. The only difference between this and an X-Ray at the hospital is the size of the X-Ray machine and the power output. The output is high enough to cause a fatal overdose but you need that power to get through the skin of the aircraft. So, what is your question??
