Warranty on xbox 360 pro?

Question: Ok, I've heard that if you get the red ring of death that microsoft extends your warranty to 3 years. BUT, is this warranty available any time your console gets the rings? Like, for example you have your console two years and your warranty is expired. Does microsoft still cover you? Oh, and I'm thinking of buying an extended warranty at Best Buy, where my console came from. Should I? I've heard people say that I shouldn't buy a warranty. I should already have a one year right? I got the 360 just this past christmas. Advice please.

Answer: When you buy a new Xbox 360 you get a one year warranty. This warranty protects against anything that happens to your 360. The new 3 year warranty only protects against the RRoD. This warranty is for every single console (even the ones from launch). There is an extended warranty that you can get for your 360 for 2 years and it cost $60. YOu might be able to get this warranty from either Microsoft or Best Buy but only if it is within 30 days of the purchase. I suggest you do get this extended warranty because you paid big bucks for your 360 and you never know when it will come in handy. Good Luck!
